05 C class door panel removal with pics

Here is the procedure for removing the door panel on the 05 C class.

First remove the triangle shaped piece at the upper, front of the door. Pry out on the part closest to the window, pull away and toward the front of the car.

Next unscrew the lock knob then pry out the rectangular SRS emblem.

Next remove the chrome piece at the door striker. I did not capture the size of this torx fastener.

Pry the outer half (at the seam line) to remove the outer section of the door pull to access the t30 fasteners.

Now there are three t30 fasteners to remove. You will either need a deep socket for this or a tee handle t30 will probably work. The first fastener is underneath the door SRS emblem. The other two are in the door pull handle.

Next remove the two t30 fasteners in the door pull.

Now you are ready to work your way around the lower edge of the door with a plastic pry to ease the plastic pushlock fasteners out. I think there were about four along the bottom and two up each end of th epanel. If anyone needs a pic of where they are located on the backside of the door panel and I can post that tomorrow. Anyway, take your time and work your way all the way around the door. When you have done this you are now ready to pull the panel up. There is a tight slip in fit along the upper edge of the door that you will need to pull the panel up out of. If this is the first time it has been removed it is going to be pretty hard to do but take your time and you can ease it off. Watch the wiring and door opening cable if you try to pull the panel away from the door.
