Many thanks, to all. Hope to help someone here soon, but won't offer suggestions to problems until I know what I'm doing.

My 2 week old starting problem turned out to be poor ground contacts on LH fender...2 brown wires under coil bracket. Did a systematic diagnostic process step by step and with lots of help from many of you, was able to isolate this problem to within a few feet of wires between coil and ignition switch. Glad it's running again! Thanks, Dan
