Aircon service/maintenance: sensible ?
 

A garage in the neighbourhood offers a service job for the aircon system.
I recall somebody telling me once that the aircon system should be left alone untill it stops working/shuts down, and that all service/maintenance beforehand is unnecessary/premature.

What's your opinion ??

Depends on the car.

Making sure that the compressor runs at least once a week.
Not an issue on A/C/C cars.

Of course micro-filter service
