The M112 has a different bell housing pattern.

Stick with a M103/104 trans.

I believe that the M102, M103 and M104 bellhousing patterns are the same, meaning you can mount a 5-speed transmission from a 300E or 190E onto your M104.

However, The flywheel is going to be a problem for you. The flywheels and driven plates (for the automatic) have large metal ridges that trigger a sensor for the ignition system. The ridge positions are different across motors.

There's a long thread in the Performance section were we've been actively discussing manual transmission swaps, both in regard to the bellhousing patterns, the flywheel setup.

We need photos (better yet, samples) of flywheels and driven plates from various motors.

thanks

the trans that I found, ( I dont bought yet) came from a 88 190e 2.4

since I will use megajolt and weber , I dont need the flywheel with sensor

which flywheel I need, a 3.0 m103 ?, or can I adapt the 2.4 flywheel ?

could you please gave the link of the flywheel thread

regards

If you're not using the factory ignition, then the flywheel from the car donating the transmission will work fine. -CTH

thanks for your answer

trans came from a 88 190e

but I dont have clutch, presure plate, trow out bearing, shifter, flywheel, starter
( Do I forgot something), manual trans was not easy to find, and I needed the 5gear overdrive.

4 cylinder flywheel fits to inline 6 m103-m104 engine ?

the question is, what is the easiest flywheel and starter that I can found in USA, that fits 717/412 trans to m104 engine without the need of crank sensor
