92 300TE Euro Lamp Plugs
Hello,
I am looking for a part to convert over to Euro Lamps on a '92 300TE. I have the lamps, they were from a fellow W124 imported to Germany and then back. (Lamps changed out both ways to pass inspections, car long sold iin the US.) I need the plugs! The wires should pop out of my US plugs and into the Euro Plugs. The lamps have 5 pins -- Ground, High Beam, Low Beam, City, and Fog. I understand I need to jumper the City to the Parking lamp. Thanks, |
Bekkers.com sells them with their Euro-lites...I'm sure you could get them seperately for a few bucks. Maybe Partshop here has them too...give them a shout.

Thanks All!!
I got the part number by searching this string, from another post, from barrie " Procedure to convert connectors for Euro headlights ". Part # is: 0065458028 -- same as for Cruise Control connection according to Tom Hanson at Caliber Motors. I have ordered and will post if I have any difficulties. Aforementioned post also includes detailed instructions. Good enough to print! |
Your welcome, you shouldnt have any problems cause i followed barrie directions and it worked fine :D

One more part number here.
003 545 26 26 These are the tiny plug sockets inside the headlamp plugs. I needed new ones to get power to the city lights. From the side marker plug, I cut the one off the parking light, resoldered a new one with an 18" piece of 18 gauge wire. That wire fed around to the headlamp plug. 18” is enough to follow down from the side lamp and back up the wire bundle to the headlamp. I wrapped it around the outside. On the headlamp, it goes to the only remaining post -- the 3rd socket -- to power the City light, with a new socket soldered on as well. Thank God my wife was interested in this project and was willing to hold the wires out at the car, in 40 degree weather, while I soldered! Thanks again everyone for the help!! |
