voltage regulator won't fit
Well, i got a replacement regulator for my 89 300SEL from a local parts store, they checked their machine and it said that this part should fit. It almost fits. It's made in USA, and theres plastic on the top that sticks out that makes it bulky and so it hits the round middle piece that sticks out of the alternator so both screws don't fit over their holes. If you understood that at all. Basically it's too big. Will all regulators work with my car? Should i carve the plastic so it fits? Or should i wait and go to the dealership tomorrow to get a bosch? I just don't want to carve it to find it doesn't work so i can't return it.
