Unhappy hard starting 190E 2.3

greatest car to drive i have ever driven. after sitting, cranks and cranks. play with throttle some while cranking on jumper battery and starts & runs alright.restarts warm. seems to lose its prime throughout fuel system... after coolsoak, back to crank crank crank. read haynes manual. suspect accumulator beside pump and filter . have ordered books from library about KE jetronic. have purchased fuel system pressure gauges . am i right about the accumulator? or should i continue diag after books get here. still wondering about location of gauge hookup for rest pressure and output. looks like a plate of spaghetti under the air cleaner. plugs new, autolite ,the available part#and brand that fit last tune .gas was regular unleaded. further research in parts websites reveals there is also a check valve at the exit to the pump. i must admit i was spooked when a mercedes tech took one glance and said its always the fuel distributor on those that causes extended cranking time to start!!!. my goodness,, has anyone ever replaced a starter motor on one of these? have to pull steering damper , pitman arm, intake support bracket, and driver's engine mount for access to get starter out and new one in. since then the slave cyl leaked and the clutch got stuck. had to drive home in snow stuck in second. wasn't bad because car can go 80 in second without laboring. since that day its become a lawn ornament. i did not want to hurt the gears. that was the day i named her rur rur rur. OVP fuse ,huh. will do. fuse panel underhood. soon as its light outside. k. all fuses in underhood box are good. everythings written to the fuhrer in the nomenclature. imported vin#. gotta wait 4 haynes manual and ke jetronic info.( plenty of spark when she gets her mix right)

Check OVP fuse
Check spark plugs (condition and type)
what grade of fuel is being used

Greatest car to drive I have ever driven.
After sitting it cranks with no start.
Play with throttle some while cranking on jumper battery and it starts & runs all right.
The engine will restart when warm.
It seems to lose its prime throughout the fuel system, after cold soak, back to crank with no start.
I have read the Haynes manual, and suspect the fuel accumulator beside the pump - filter assembly.
I have ordered books from the library about KE Jetronic, and purchased fuel system pressure gauges.
Am I right about the accumulator, or should I continue diagnoses after the books get here.
I am still wondering about location of the gauge hookup for rest pressure and output.
To me it looks like a plate of spaghetti under the air cleaner.

FYI:
* Spark plugs new.
* Brand: Autolite.
* Gasoline is regular unleaded.

Further research in parts websites reveals there is also a check valve at the exit to the pump.
I must admit I was spooked when a Mercedes tech took one glance and said its always the fuel distributor on those that causes extended cranking time to start!!!
My goodness, has anyone ever replaced a starter motor on one of these?
You have to pull steering damper, pitman arm, intake support bracket, and driver's engine mount for access to get starter out and new one in.
Since then the slave cylinder leaked and the clutch got stuck.
I had to drive home in snow stuck in second, it wasn't to bad because car can go 80 in second without laboring.
Since that day its become a lawn ornament.
I did not want to hurt the gears.
That was the day I named her rur rur rur.
OVP fuse, huh, will do, fuse panel under hood, soon as its light outside.
OK all fuses in under hood box are good. Everything is written to the fuehrer in the German nomenclature.
Imported vin#.
I am waiting for the Haynes and KE Jetronic service manuals.
Plenty of spark when she gets her mix right.
