yes I for got to say its a 2006 ML350 with 55k and I recently replaced the coils for multiple missfires on a few cylinders cured that problem. but now have the other codes

Most likely a vacuum leak.
The MAF would be the next most likely issue.

thanx MBDOC I will have a look today.hopefully I disturbed something when I replaced the coils and the air filters. I know the MAF on my other car the SL500 was 300.00:eek:

Make sure the air cleaner fits correctly at the MAF sensor! ;)

No Fix

I found the hose off from the air injection pump to the air cleaner.I noticed this while I was taking off the air cleaner to do an inspection of the vacum hoses and to make sure the air cleaner was properly seated.Every thing looked good no defects noted besides the air pump hose.
Thought I had it fixed but the cel came on same codes!! Anything else I can check before I start throwing parts at it??

new maf from mercedes

I installed a new MAF from mercedes............no help 8 miles later cel is back on:(. My wife gave me some new info that may be helpful. She was driving home in the ML350 and came upon an accident scene before she could avoid it she ran over some large pieces of accident debris in the dark. She said it sounded really bad and the check eng light came on momentarly.
Just wondering are there any vacum lines under the car maybe going to the trans???

johnflight1 03-08-2012 06:54 PM

update, did a thorough look under the car no defects noted traced all eng vac lines all good.
thought I found something but they were just vents for the trans, rear ,and trans axel.
I spent a good hour under the car and no damage super clean.
spent all day under the hood all vac lines are good:confused:
what to do next:confused:
