1998 E320 popping noise from front when turning

Hi all. I have a 1998 E320 that makes a popping noise from the front when turning the wheel at slow speeds under 20mph. I have changed the front upper control arms and the front lower control arm bushings as well as the front wheel bearings and front lower ball joints.
Noise seems to have been reduced but still present especialy while turning on slightly uneven surfaces. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Disconnect the sway bar links and see if the noise goes away.

I'd guess that it's a bad constant-velocity (CV) joint, but only if your car is a 4matic.

hi, my 98 e320 is doing the exact same noise, especially on uneven turns as you stated, where you able to find a solution? thanks in advance this is the only thread I've found anywhere talking about this issue

My 2005 E320 is doing it, also: right-front. Mine sounds like a creak, except it only pops once or twice. it seems to be caused more by side loading of the wheel, and some by braking reaction, never by suspension up-down motion or steering by itself; when steering results in side loading, though, it will pop once or twice. I can't find anything loose and the car drives very nicely.

Sounds like idler arm or sway bar links.
