Power steering filter

Where can I find the power steering filter and change procedure. Car is E320 1994

Probably pretty much the same as in my 1991 300CE, M104 car.

It is at the bottom of the P/S fluid reservoir. If you change your engine oil by sucking it out, then next time you do, suck out all the P/S fluid too. Use a pick or bent wire and fish out the filter.

I've only changed the power steering fluid filter on an M103 W124, but would think the M104 W124 the same. As above, the filter is in the bottom of the fluid reservoir, but the one I changed was held in by a nut, all easily visible with the fluid level reduced.

My 97 E420 doesn't have a PS filter-it's a W210, which may be what you have (I've not sure).

Checking the Buy Parts button on this site might tell you whether or not your car has one.

its down in the reservoir - remove cap, remove the 10mm hex nut holding the plastic piece(scale) in place, remove plastic piece, remove spring, remove filter with needle nose pliers or wire, reverse procedure to button up.

As an added insurance, get yourself a new power steering reservoir cover seal.
