Gotta call a tow truck...w124

I have to call in a tow. Is it a bad idea to have them send a regular tow truck, or do I need to go with a flatbed (I thought I remember reading something about how low these cars are..). This is on the 300e.

I'd be more concerned about them picking up the front wheels rather than the rear drive wheels. I would recommend a flatbed (I was able to do this when I had my SD towed). If you tow by the front wheels you'll either need to keep the engine running (assuming ti runs) to keep the front pump running in the transmission or take out the driveshaft so you don't burn up the transmission.

If they tow it by the rear wheels it would be okay as long as they don't lift it too high. I picked my 300TE up by the rear before I lowered the suspension a couple of times and I never did any damage. Flatbed is always best if it's available though.

I had mine towed by the rear wheels. It was fine.

Flatbed is the best way to go. Never tow with rear wheels moving/on the ground, the transmission will be toasted in short order.
