mercedes question

hi... i have a question.... will a bad fuel accumumalator make a car boggs down when press the accelerator, and acts like its starving for fuel, and hard to start. but will start if i prime it from turning the key off then back on a few times, i already change the fuel filter it help a little thank you again.

year and model would help.

it's possible, i had 1 560 sl years ago that had a stumble right after start that a new accum. fixed. apparently, it was a low volume condition. iirc, it really wasn't a bad hot start, but that's been 10 years or so. the complaint was the stumble, not the start. good luck, chuck.

What year & model car?
Only if the diaphragm is split so that the system fuel pressure is VERY low.

And if that is the case...you wouldn't be able to start the engine when it was hot after sitting a few minutes.
