2000 c230 kompressor
I have 2000 c230 compressor and recently my check engine turned on and my car won't go pass 3.5 - 4 rpm...
It would drive normally but as soon as I press gas to go higher rpm, the engine just has no power and feels like its redlining. Sounds like the car doesn't get enough fuel after 4rpm.. Some one told me that it could be my fuel pump.. Any one has any thoughts?! Need help |

Pull out your upstream o2 sensors and try again. Sounds kind of like clogged cats... Do you know what the code number is?

That car has a "REAL" PCV valve.
If it becomes plugged over time, durning acceleration oil can pushed into the air intake system & coat the mass air flow sensor. If that has happened, you will have those conditions. Replacing the PCV valve & cleaning the intake system including the intercooler is required to stop that issue.

Not sure if this is the same problem that I had but...
On our 1999 C230K, cleaning the entire air intake system and replacing the PCV valve was time-consuming work but was the right thing to do. The car runs very well and accelerates strongly without any hesitation at all.
My posts on this subject may be helpful. Search "Cleaning Intercooler and Intake". Regards, Paul
