1995 SL320 Puzzling Power Window

Friday I had the passenger winow open about 1/3. It iwas starting to rain so I went to close it, but there was no response. No big sweat as I was nearly home. I pulled the window fuse. It looked good, but did have some corrosion on the ends. I cleased the fuse and put in back in place. The window will go up and down, however, the express down would not work. I put the window up and decided to see if the window would lower and raise for opening the door. Just as I suspected, the window will not lower for opening the door. Any thoughts?

Can you reset the window by opening it fully and keeping the button pressed for a couple of seconds?

Just to clarify, run the window down and hold? I had tried running it up and down, twice, but never held in place.

I remember doing some sort of 'sych' on my 1999 E300, however, it has been a while and I could not remember what I did.

Thanks.

Check your owners manual for some sort of reset sequence, possibly in the maintenance section. In my Acura the auto-/one-touch feature would become disabled when you disconnected the battery. There was a simple sequence like "press and hold then turn car on" or something.

With the convertible there may be a relationship with roof position switches.

I need to get an owners manual. I wondered about top position, yet it is just the one window.

I found a PDF version of the manual online. Cool! S124300 had the right idea, however, rather than run the window down and hold it was run the window up and hold.:D
