300 te transmission problem
 

Had some late shifting / slipping from start to 3rd gear (2nd gear start), so i started a fluid and filter change of the transmission. Here is what i found... Looks like friction lining of some sort and some plastic component. My initial guess is that it is the B1 brake band but what do i know?
Thoughts?:confused:

First question is what year 300 TE? And also open up the old filter and see how much material is in there? There may be lots more material hidden in the filter. Take some tin snips and cut open the filter to see.
