my 450sl instrument cluster does not light up at all. Gas and temp
gauge do register. I removed the steering wheel to check bulbs and reconnected the (din) type plug by the Tach now the Tach is not working and still not one light. Can anyone offer any advice ?

Howdy ZEG,
I cant distinguish which liught you are talking about,if your cluster is all dark at night(when park/head light switch ON)the problem might lurke in the dimmer switch(rotory reostat).Replace it!
Just my 2 pesos.
