Oil Leak!

Help! If you have any advice on why my 1992 300e with 162k is leaking oil. Checked engine and transmission fluid and it is full. Color of leak is light beige and clear not dark like engine oil. Any ideas please let me know.

Do you know what the source of the leak is?

The approved MB coolant is a pale orange in color, is that close to the color of the fluid?

I don't know where it's coming from and it is about 2 feet by 4 feet long under my car so i'm kinda puzzled as to what it is.

I had the coolant changed last year to the normal green stuff and this leak is kinda of an oil consistency.

Checked your tranny oil level?

I think some power steering fluids are close to the color you describe.

I checked my tranny and it's full.

Power steering fluid- do you know where the reservoir is to refill or check it. Thanks 92' 300e

Does that mean it is viscous or that it is slippery to the touch?

Coolant is slippery to the touch as well.

Power steering fluid could be clear to red depending on what was used.

ATF is usually red.

Brake fluid could be golden to black (depending on how often it's changed) - but could also be blue.

Motor oil golden to black, depending on where you are in the oil change cycle (since were not talking diesel).

Coolant should be a watered down color of what ever you're using, in this case pale green since you've got green in there. Now depending on whether there is any rust or build-up in your cooling system, you might see some different color.

You've got a 300E, so we don't need to worry about the leveling system fluid.
