Question Intake Air temp sensor

On my 95 W124 E420, my check engine light comes on after being reset. The code that comes off the Diagnostic light panel under the hood is 009: Intake Air temp sensor shorted or open. I cant seem to locate this sensor under the hood. Is there a diagram on where this sensor is located or can you describe its location. Anyone else have this code come up and replacing the sensor fixed the problem? thanks for any info.

The air intake temerature sensor is located on the air scoop behind the left (driver side) headlight assembly. It is easy to remove, just squeeze the two prongs and wiggle it out.
