Seat Position Memory Question
 

I have a 1988 300ce. The driver door memory works for the seat position - meaning when I push (1), the seat moves to the remembered position. The telescoping steering wheel position, however, does not work, the switch on the column moves the steering wheel fine. I had an '89 300e where the steering wheel position would be remembered too. My question is: where are the electronics that control and remember the positions of the seat and the steering wheel so I can begin to fix this?
