fuel system
My fuel pump runs continuously. I don't know enough about the system to decide between the cold start valve, fuel distributor, or something I am not aware of where can I start looking?

If the car is running, so is the fuel pump. What is the problem?
And BTW what is the car?

300E, I was under the impression that if the pressure was up the pump would stop.

On this car & all MB's with electric pumps the pump is designed to run any & ALL of the time that the engine is running.
As Steve asked, "What is the problem"?

My ignorance I suppose, the pump is noisy, I am not used to an MB making noise. I have replaced the pump, and still have the noise. The car will run faster than I want to drive it, so fuel volume is adequate. With 180k miles I start to wonder. Hence the concern.
