1995 W124 Wagon - Rear Left Signal Issue
The rear left signal light is not working while engaging the signal or the hazard switch. At first, the issue was intermittent and now is permanent.
The Combination Relay (201 821 00 47) was buzzing so I changed the part with a known working relay from another car. Once the signal switch is engaged the left side blinks very fast while the right side is normal. Symptoms of a broken bulb. Switched bulbs from right side to left side and vice-versa. Left side not working but the right side is working. When I push down the stalk on the signal switch, before it permanently engages, the left side front signal will blink fast but no rear. Once engaged fully, there will be no lights on both left front and left rear signals, then buzzing sound. So, I'm concluding that the issue is not the relay or the bulb. Is it the signal switch that needs replacing or something else? is there anything else I need to troubleshoot? Another Relay or Fuse? Thanks!

Check this thread on repairing the combination relay, or maybe just replace it:

I did replace the N10 combination relay with a working one as posted earlier and the results were the same.

I guess I wasn't clear. The thread I linked to says a combination relay that appears good can act up intermittently due to poor solder joints. I'd have less trust for a relay pulled out of another car because the act of pulling it out could stress the solder joints even further. You could try wiggling the combination relay while operating the turn signals to see if they operate intermittently. that would confirm a bad connection in the relay. And I assume your fuses are all clean.

Find a known good combination switch, drop the knee bolster and try it before you need to pull the steering wheel to do a full install. Remember the wagon switch is different from the other models.
Also check and clean the ground behind the spare wheel panel. There is also a chance of damage to the harness as it routes up to the rear light.
