Removing E430 Shift Knob & Knob Insert
 

Searched the forum and could not find any info., so need your help. I have a 2000 E430 (W210). Want to safely and properly remove the shift knob. What are the procedures?

Also, am replacing the plastic insert on the shift knob with a "Sport" insert. I know the new one is glued on, but what is the proper procedure for taking out the old one?

Most of them, you turn the bottom section (plastic) on the knob and pull up.
