'96 C280 Transmission Question
 

Lately, my 96 C280 tranny has started slipping in 1st gear. Only occasionally, and it seems to only do it when it is hot after being driven for a while. It only does it when pulling away from a dead stop, if you let up, the tranny stops slipping, and shifts normally after that. Until you let off the accellerator, the car will barely move. Any ideas?

there are band adjustments,and parts that wear out.Hopefully you won't need a rebuild.I have taken a trans apart enough to replace clutch packs.Any trans shop can load your packs for cheap.Or you can buy them loaded.:D
