1985 300D W123 - vent 20F higher than evaporator
Hi again, well now that the electrical is sorted out, I finally got the system fully charged. The pressures look good and the output of the evaporator is hovering around 40F, but...
With the engine hot and Climate Control set to "Min", my side vent temps are hovering at 60F. (Ambient is about 82F right now.) I checked the recirculate/fresh vacuum element and it seems to be doing its job. Of course the flap could be internally broken. What should my next step be? Pinch off the heater hose on the monovalve? Anything else? Thanks!

Solved
Well, even though the vent temp never dropped much below 60F (even with evaporator temps of upper 30s), in actual driving it got quite cool in the car. To the point that my wife said, "I should have brought a sweater."
So, even though I never got the vent temps I was expecting, I'm gonna call this one solved. Now, it's time to start packing for China. See y'all next summer!
