Hey is the voltage regulator located in the alternator?

Yes. rear of alt.

The voltage regulator is on the back of the alternator and is an easy item to remove and replace. It is held in place by two screws.

Thanks a lot for your help guys, another qustion. How would i go about rebuilding the alternator myself?

Remove it and take it to a shop!
 
It may be cheaper at the long run!:cool:
