1984 190D Heater

I have a 1984 190D 2.2 that I bought my for my son that doesn't have any heat, the blower works. What could be the problem? Heater valve or vacuum leak to it? Also the front dome light and cig. lighter don't work, but the fuses are good. It seems to be a good little car. runs good, just a couple of qurks. Got it cheap. Is there anything to know about care of the diesel, or the rest of the car?

I have had good luck with my 84 190E as well.

The biggest headache for me has been the differential. But then again, my approach and execution was partly to blame. These units start to get noisy. Used ones are risky too.

On the gas motor the timing chain is another source of concern.

Good Luck!
