500E PPI just done

I just had a PPI done at a MB dealer for a 92 500E with 101k miles. They felt it was a good car. The compression test showed from between 123 to 127. I was told it should be in the 190's. Is there a way they could have gotten a false reading? I will, of course, ask them toi do it again. I did not get a leakdown test. Should I?
HELP!!!

Tom
