260e will not stay running??

hi i have a 260e i am trying to get it going before winter hits but it starts the first try then dies seconds later then wont stay started after that. i tested the fuel pumps they seem to be operating great the fuel filter is new. i cleaned the fuel distributor and fuel injectors i have great fuel pressure. i replaced the coil and the ovp relay to one of the updated ones with two fuses. it has new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. im not sure if my fuel relay is broken it turns on for a few seconds wen the key is on but cant here the fuel pumps wen cranking. im not sure if thats normal or not but i have also bypassed the relay and the car still doesnt stay running. i dont like just throwing parts at my car but they were al fairly cheap so i figured might as well. i am kind of stumped on this situation and its getting cold fast so i thought i might see if you guys have any other sugestions. thanks

I'm guessing crank position sensor. What's your mileage?

Shoot some starter fluid into the throttle body...if it starts for longer than usual then dies its fuel related if not either spark or a vacuum leak. Replace the idle control hoses if they are rock hard.
Those tests should help route you to the right place before spending money.
