Yeah, we had a trade-in with one of those on there, it was about an 85 300SDL. Biggest rustbucket we've ever taken on trade. We sold the car to a regular customer, must have gotten a good deal on it. Presently the front bumper is in danger of falling off due to rust damage.

George,

I've had one for over 7 years that was dealer installed on my 4Runner. I believe the "scam" at the time was that it would separate ions that would inhibit rust. It's all bull crap!!! I've got rust on my truck. Save your moola.

There are some swimming pool devices that use silver and copper plates and an electrical charge. Supposed to be a chemical free way to kill algea and such. Sounds like a good idea if it works.

rust avenger

These electrical devices have a place on boats that sit in salt water, but that is a whole different application.

Just saw on a site called Carwash Online, that a push to start selling these devices at around three hundred plus dollars is being promoted.

It is a scam for automobile applications.

Just curious George (sorry :p ) where you have been driving your MB to get corrosion so early in your car's life?
