1991 190E 2.6 poor Idel

OK gang, this is the same car I have posted on recently. I had a no start situation, due to over fueling. The fuel distributor was sent out to CIS flow tech. After it was returned I worked on getting the idle set so it would start, then came the very rough idle that would not smooth out no mater what adjustment I made. The EHA will not move off of the neg. 2.16, and the potentiometer just would not stay set at .736. So I ordered another pot from an Ebay connection, when it arrived I noticed it was a rebuilt unit, It ohm'd at 58.2 and I had a perfect .635 dialed in. and the Idle is smooth or close to smooth. though I can not get the EHA to get to that magic 0 +or - Now for the rest of the story, when you put it in gear the motor oscillates for just a second then smooths out , but as soon as you move the car it dies. any thoughts on the mater are very much appreciated. Up date on this 190E, After some investigation I found that the air flow sensor plate was to high in the throat, so I reset the level driving the position pin down slightly to bring the plate just a hair above the top of the center bore, then I set the potentiometer to
.496v and the wot went to 4.68v. MY dilemma is still the EHA it is now sitting at - 2.16 and bounces between 2.15 and back, need help in that area. Thanks in advance for any help. JNT
