Unhappy May be you DO have a gas leak!

Check the fuel lines and fuel related items under the vehicle. Passenger's side behind a plastic cover. Another thing you can check is the EHA which, is under the air filter assembly. It is a black box attached to the rear of the fuel distributor. Not uncommon to leak. If it is leaking, replace it.
Good luck!

well as a result of my rich idle , smell of fuel , rough idle when hot my car as now failed inpection failed the co inspection by a mile
by the way J i did check the eha it s leaking a little bit of fuel pull it out i thought it might be the 2 small o ring that needs to be replaced so i replaced them and tighten it back i do know if that is going to work , as far as failing inspection going to change my o2 sensor this weekend

Before you change the O2 sensor...

check in the DIY section. There is a excellent article by Steve Brotherton on evaluating electronic controls. If your EHA is leaking, chances are, it is bad.
Good luck!

Ok let's say the EHA is leaking could that be the cause of my rough idling the engine is running rich i try to adjust the idle mixture it is like having no effect on the way the engine is running always running rich which is why i failed inspection

you wouldn't want to continue running rich. if so,
you might need another cat.

maximus, I had the same problem with my car it turn out that the O2 sensor was bad. I got a new one and everything was back to normal.
