300TE question
There is something rattling inside the front right door panel of my daughter's 1989 300TE.
I really hate taking door panels apart, because I usually end up breaking some plastic tab. Do any of you have a diagram, or step-by-step directions on how to take apart the right front door panel? I also want to take the panel under the glove compartment apart. I want to install a CD changer in the glove compartment and I wan tto see what things look like around that area. Does any one have a diagram of the area, or step-by-step directions on how to take the area apart? Thanks.

The glove box inner panel will pull out when you remove the plastic rivets from it.

Here's a step-by-step door panel removal explanation courtesy of member engatwork:
http://12.96.14.5/~engatwork/CkStrap.htm As far as that rattle goes, I'd wager that it's a loose screw that holds on the wood trim from the inside. They loosen over time so be sure to check 'em. Good luck! ~Paul ___________________ '91 300E, 208k miles |
