Blower Motor Replacement Procedure For 300E

Does anyone have the shop manual procedure for replacing the blower motor in an 87 300E? Any input on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Try this web site: http://www.mercedesdot.com/newsletter/issue8.htm

You may want to check out my thread on this as I just finished doing the same exact thing. Cheers.

Thumbs up Blower Motor is Now Replaced

Thom,

Thanks for the website where a procedure was posted...it was helpful. The MB dealer quoted 4 hours labor, but I was done in less than 3! If anyone is considering the task, it's not that bad and you can really save some money doing it yourself!!

BenzGuy124:

Did you replace the motor or just the brushes. If motor, what brand?

Thanks.

New Blower Motor with Squirrel Cages

I wanted a part on hand when I started the job so I purchased a new one from www.************************. It was the cheapest one I could find. It has a Behr motor in it and squirrel cages attached. I've heard that the brushes can be replaced, but the motor is not made to be disassembled easily. Hope this helps!
