Mixing Synthetic Oils

Can I mix Mobil 1 Syn with other synthetics. Also, I have a "oil burner" 1989 300E with about 200,000 miles + (don'tknow the mileage exact because it stopped at 91k). I don't want to completely move over to synthetics so I stick with Chevron 20w50 but I was wondering if I could add like a bottle of Mobil 1 Synthetic every 3000 miles

All oils are compatible-don't sweat it.

But why waste expensive oil if you're only gonna see it burn?

No problem mixing different brands of synthetic or mineral oil.
But if you have an 'oil burner'' don't expect any benefit with your proposed cocktail.
The only difference will be you will be burning a more expensive product.
You can use the most technologically advanced oil product, the most expensive oil, your oil burning problem will not be solved or réduced since there is a mecanical problem with the engine (most likely valve seals and or valve guides)
