Exploded Trunk Lock !

Could anyone do me a favor and supply me an exploded view of a 190e trunk lock assembly?
The trunk lock wouldn't work with central locking. After taking a good look at it it seems that the rod (that goes from the lock mechanism to the actuator) has come away from the lock.
It's looks as if the rod fastened to some white plastic on the mechanism. I'm not sure if a piece of the plastic has broken off or what.
Could anyone tell me how this rod fastens to the plastic piece and if it's possible to buy a new plastic piece.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate it.

Have you checked the car key itself?

The car has a valet key I believe that will not opent he trunk or locki the glove box when locked with the master key.

If you can see that a piece is actually not attached, then most likely you are in need of the lock view.

If I had the manual for the w201 chassis, I'd post it up for you.

Hopefully, someone will answer this for you soon. Give it a little time, sometimes you wont get a response right away.

Alon,

I don't have a problem opening the trunk with the key. It just wont open from the central locking because the connecting rod is not connected to the mechanism any more. It looks as if the plastic part that fastens to the rod has a piece missing , but I'm not sure !!!
Does the dealer sell parts of the lock separately??

Thanks

I remember a screw on the back of the lock mechanism that connected it to the rod for the actuator. The screw would back out or strip. Its not that big of a deal to remove the lock and actuator assy and inspect for any damage. Hope I helped.:D
