mercedes 190 hard to start

hi guys i need help i have a 93 mercedes 190e 2.6 and its very hard to start hot are cold. i have to turn the key on and off mabe 5 times to build up pressure before it will start. i allready change the fuel filter also the fuel accuumlator the fuel pressure pressure regulator is not leaking thats why i didnt suspect it was bad so now im stuck with this problem please help me with this one thanks.

Hard starting issues are almost always fuel pressure related.
System pressure can't bleed off & should be 85 PSI.

Also make sure that the over-voltage relay is good, and the secondary ignition system is in good condition as well.

Does is smell for gasoline under your hood ?

Remove the air filter (black round thing right to the engine). You will see the air intake and a fuel distributor unit. Behind the fuel distributor is a black plastic box attached to the distributor. That thing may leak. It might be sufficient to unscrew it (2x torx) and replace the two o-Rings. Warning: cover the box with cloth until both screws are loose ! Gasoline may spray out with high pressure.
