transmission removal 450sl
 

I am going to finally bite the bullet and have my slipping, clunking, gear skipping transmission replaced. I've ordered an overhauled unit from ADSIT Inc.(any comments on this company?).
My question is do any of you pro's have any helful advice from previous bad/good experience such as mistakes not to make or tricks of the trade to make my job a bit easier? I have a haynes manual with pretty detailed instructions on removal but would sure appreciate any helful tips.

p.s. by the way Stevebfl, I gave up on the guy whose kids had no shoes although they seemed to have all their teeth.
