Questions on Bowden cable...
Hey everyone. Spring break has started, so I have some time to tinker with the benz. My question conerns bowden cable adjustment. Which would be better for the cars transmission, imperceptable shifts and a max shift point (WOT, without hitting the switch) at 5k rpm, or harsh shifts (where the car flys into something resembling neutral, and then throws you back into gear) and max shift point of higher...(not sure how high it goes, prolly around 6300 rpm) I was just playing around with it, and I really like the smooth shifts afforded by tighting the cable so that the plastic screw/sleeve touches its threaded companion, but I don't know if this is horrible from the transmission or not... any help would be appreciated...
