mercedes A200 W169 2006 petrol

hi every one,i need some help,i have 2006 a200 w169 , 74 000 km, ,3 days ago the car drive fine, then when i got to start again it didn't start,so i wait 30 minutes and the car start ok,drive short distance home, next day the car start with no problem, i drive for 10 km and the ESP warning came on and the car can only go 50 km/h ,so i drive to mechanic and he did computer scan , show the brake pedal switch faulty, next day he replace the switch for $200 and told me the car is fix t, or if this don't work i will have to replace the starter motor ,so i drive from workshop home the car went fine and when i got home it wont start again, i wait again 30 min and the car start ok,to me is that the car starts perfect when is cold and when you drive for few km and warms up you stop and turn the ignition off it want start again until cools down, can any body help? THANK YOU

Hi and Welcome to the forum -

What you describe sounds like a faulty crankshaft position sensor. A faulty brake switch may cause intermittent starting but shouldn't be affected by hot/cold engine.
