Anyone know what this control unit/module is?
 

Under the carpet in the left hand side foot well (passenger in the UK), next to the red airbag unit. Car is 300 TE-24. It was disconnected when I discovered it btw.

I'm assuming it audio related as it's made by Becker, though there is no Becker player installed?

It's actually the alarm/security system controller.
The system tends to drain the battery when the car sits.
If it's disconnected then it's not a problem as the system may have been malfunctioning which is common.
I've had mine disconnected for years !

This is a control unit for the infra-red closing system.

Thanks for that. Cars already got Clifford immobiliser/remote locking, so I'll leave it disconnected.
