sqeaky squealy belt
 

I have an 89 420sel. Runs great, except it sqeaks/squeels when I accelerate or deccelerate. I've never heard a vehicle sqeak when i applied the breaks. The squeak two squeks are identical in sound and length of sound, just a few seconds.
I just read a note about roughing up the pullys so I'll give that a go and see what happens.

at 160,000 I replace idler pulley now at 169000 alternator bearing is giving every so ofter a sqeek at idle,I will replace bearing next month.
