Fog lamp yeller or whyte? with pix

Is the better color yellow (older W124s) or the "clear" of the newer style lamp assemby? I had replaced headlights in my 93 Cabrio's with some from I believe a 95. Liked the brighter lamps, and liked the wide pattern of the fogs. But the 92 300TE I had came with yellow lamps. Had to put in a used lamp assembly this morning (to avoid police curiosity) while waiting to collect grille, another lamp assembly, and a bumper (animal strike).

So what's best, yellow or sorta white? Is a yellow bulb available for the newer style lamps?

I myself prefer yellow. They are more effective in fog. But its really a matter of your personal taste.

Your call but since you asked... I prefer white. Gives the face a bright, clean updated look. I know some say the amber works better in fog but in my opinion they make the car look 'sad' & dated. That's my $.04 (adjusted for inflation).

I heard there is a US DOT conflict with yellow fogs, I am used to yellow fogs driving most of my life out of USA and would like to have yellow fogs in my E300D which currently has white fogs, which work good btw.

You should come see the purple headlights running around here and the HID kits in non projector headlights
