150 Amp AL129X for M116/7/V-Belt Setups?
I am looking to upgrade the alternator on my 420SEL.
The 115amp AL129X seems to be the go-to upgrade. I was looking around on eBay and found a few higher (150A) amperage units and came across this: Saab 9000 1992 1993 1994 900 1984 86 87 89 90 1994 Bosch Alternator 150 High Amp | eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-240D-300D-SAAB-9000-900-ALTERNATOR-1974-75-76-79-80-81-82-83-85-150-AMP-/130842462817?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e76d18a61&vxp=mtr What do you guys think of these units?

I just have a local auto store 115A reman on my 560. I could take a picture but nothing really to show, looks the same as the 80A, just a slightly bigger case. Stock belt works fine, just have to reclock the alternator so the power cable lug is in the proper position.
If you have not done that $2 mod to the regulator (probably less if you buy the diode online, 1N5402), go ahead and do it. It adds about 0.5V to the alt output. Lastly, I am all about buying local. Hit up your auto store or automotive electrical shop.
