1997 E320 Thermostat cover

While replacing the thermostat in my 1997 E320, I accidentally cracked the thermostat cover so now I need to replace it.

The cover looks exactly like the one pictured in this thread Pictorial DIY - Thermostat replacement - 1996 E320 and has the number 1042030374 on it. Notice that at the top, there is a connector coming out at a right angle connected to a tub that goes to the reservoir.

However, all the replacement covers I see look slightly different. The replacement ones (see part 103-203-07-74-M36 or 103-203-07-74-INT here: 1997 Mercedes-Benz E320 Sedan - Water Pump, Thermostat & Hoses - Page 1 ) seem to have an open hole at the top, and I don't see where I would connect the hose going to the reservoir.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
