Instrument cluster light bulb replacements?

I pulled the cluster from my '95 SL500 today and sent it off for diagnosis.

Question, has anyone replaced their bulbs? Are they all the same wattage/voltage? Anyone recommend a good place to order replacement bulbs that don't cost a fortune? I want to replace them all so I don't have to pull the cluster again. Can these be updated to LED? How problematic would that be?

Thanks, Steve

I don't think you'd be able to dim them if you went LED

You can change the lights in the LCD temperature display to LED's. Blue or red look good. You need to select dropping resisters to get the 12 Volt supply down to the voltage and current ma specified for the LED's. Use wide angle LED's, not the spotlight type. I think someone wrote this up here once before. Go to the dealer for a new set of lamps, they're cheap. Since you have the VDO out, replace all of them.

Thanks for the info. I just hope when the cluster is bench checked that the problem lies within the cluster and not elsewhere because I would not know where to start finding the problem, everything else looked good. I have ordered all new bulbs too. Thanks Again, Steve
