Changing frt & Rear Brake Pads on 95 C220
I am going to attempt to change the brake pads on my 95 C220. Does anyone know if they are similar to the E-class brakes. There is a section on the do-it-yourself link of this website and I was wondering if it is similar. I've done brakes before on Hondas and Dodges so I am familiar with them. Are there any surprises that I may encounter or any tricks that may help me? Thanks for all your help.

It is easy and straight forward on our 97 C280.
A pad/disc spreader would come in handy for the rear as the pads pulls out straight from the rear of the caliper and slides in same way after removal of a pin and retaining spring. I would presumme it is the same on your. But make sure you have a 17mm allen key to loosen the locking pin of the front caliper. This is not the most common size at least in my tool box. rgds, CF |
