An old trick with power steering was to throw some brake fluid into the system. brake fluid puckers seals designed for normals oils and would either soften or swell the seals enough for amazing recovery. __________________ Steve Brotherton -------------------------------------------------- Before I dump brake fluid into my ATF-leaking power steering reservoir, does this really work and how much brake fluid is reccmmended?

I have used the stopleak oil stuff, it looks like tar (super thick) in my powerstearing before...it worked good on my old ford pickup...however I don't know if I would want to do that to my mercedes

I have the Valvoline synthetic PS Fluid which I understand will do the trick. I intend to find out before introducing brake fluid.
