1992 300E Sportline Tranny issue
I acquired a 92 300E Sportline, nearly perfect. It had 37K miles black/gray and runs great. It has a funny issue with trans, it won't do a decent 1-2 shift unless car is warmed up 90 seconds or so.
Wasn't there an issue with the trans and emissions/cat converter temp that made the 1-2 shift goofy? Am I remembering things that didn't happen. Is there a fix/bypass of this issue?? Thanx |

I wouldn't say its an issue, they are designed to delay the upshift when cold. If you try a work-around you'll be staring at a C/E light.

Thanks, that's just what I was thinking, just not sure I recalled correctly.
