Any Info on Any Bosch IP Pump Facility

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone out there has ever sent their IP pump for a rebuild in the U.S.A ? If so, can you please tell me the name of the shop, contact info, et cet. Were you happy with the results ?

I have an unusual IP Pump. It's a MW pump from a wagon, 300D NA (no turbo). It does not have an ALDA, but it has something similar looking. I am thinking of swapping out my M Pump with this pump.

Thanks,

Application: Diesel, 300D NA (no turbo), W123 / OM 617.912 engine

I've got one of those =>

Papa's got a brand new om617 IP to play with!

But I still haven't taken it to bits yet!

Army,

Do you know / think the MW will be a better performer than the M Pump ? I know I can get all the linkage and odds and ends in the world vs. M Pump stuff. I know this because I already got the items. Plus, I am thinking the MW pump will be a slightly better performer. I just never saw a MW pump on a NA engine. This pump came off a 1980 wagon.

So you've got an M/RSF pump at the moment?

If so that's the more modern one.

If you look at the numbers in the FSM survey chapter 07-001 the MW pump seems to be very close to the turbo MW pump. The governor numbers are close too.

Differences in the operation between the RSF and RW governors are covered in chapter 07-010 => don't ask me what they are, I keep on falling asleep when I try and read that section! I'll try and stay awake and work it all out sometime...

This could be a terminology problem but I thought that the superturbodiesel.com guys prefer the rarer (in the US) M/RSF pump because that one is more tunable than the MW pump - they seem to be banging on about the M pump and I assume they mean that one (rather than the 4 pot pigs bladder one for the OM615).

I'm really just starting out learning about the IP - I thought I'd start by pulling that spare IP to bits so I could see how it works; but I've been busy with other stuff for months and months and months...

They are the one I use for injection pump work. They are an authorized Bosch repair shop. Nothing but good things to say about them.
