Question W210 1997 E420

Hello All,
Is it possible to buy the rear window lockout switch on its own? Its the small switch on the console between left side front and rear window switches. The car is a 1997 E420. Also, is it possible to buy the stereo on/off button all on its own? I've search all over and can't seem to find them. Any guidance would be appreciated.

No, it's part of the lower control panel, not sure on the radio knob, if you know who made the radio you could ask the radio manufacturer.

If you go to beckerautosound.com and find your year/model it will show you a image of the stock radio. If it's a stock Becker you can order a replacement vol knob.

Ebay gave good results:

mercedes radio volume knob | eBay

mercedes 210 window safety switch | eBay

I take it the rubber on your volume knob also fell off.
I pulled mine off and removed all the rubber.
I enlisted the help of my sister to find a high/low quality matt black nail polish. My instructions where to get one that is notoriously difficult to remove. She got one for ZAR 13, about $1.50. I had to cout it 3 times in order to get it thick enough to smoothly surround the light indicator in the middle. Two years down the line and its still perfect and looks brilliant!

My radio knob was messed up when I got the car - assuming were talking stock radio. Got one from the dealer. Didn't cost much. I believe they had to order it in.
